New exposure scenario communications (ESCom) package available

The exposure scenario communications package (ESCom) standard for exchanging exposure scenario data between IT systems helps companies to communicate consistent and harmonised exposure scenario information throughout the supply chain.

FEICA has contributed to this development via DUCC (Downstream Users of Chemicals Co-ordination Group). The ESCom project is conducted in close cooperation with Cefic, DUCC and ECHA under the Chemical safety report/Exposure scenario Roadmap. Read more on Cefic's ESCOM web page.


Publication of the 7th ATP to CLP

The 7th ATP to CLP was published in the OJ - Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1221 of 24 July 2015 amending Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures. Read EUR-Lex here

REACH 2018 - Last registration deadline for chemicals is 31 May 2018

All chemical substances produced or imported in the European Economic Area between 1 and 100 tonnes a year need to be registered by 31 May 2018 with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). This is the last deadline for existing chemicals under the REACH Regulation and will complete the gathering of data on substances manufactured or used in Europe. More information here and here.

The extranet, a secured platform for members, has been turned into the ideal tool for the extended member community with an integrated email messaging system which promises smoother communication with target audiences, personalised newsfeeds, etc…
